I think one of the most disturbing parts of the film Trekkies was the unhealthy sexual preoccupation some of the people had. The creepiest (besides the Tasha Yar naked art) were the Spiner-femmes. Ew.
Eww. I haven't seen Trekkies but that reminds me of the fans of TOS Trek who imagined that there was a BDSM homosexual relationship between Kirk and Spock implied in the subtext of the plotlines.
I still think my idea for a Data USB thumb drive would be cool though. You know, because he's Data and he holds data...! Oh, I laugh and I laugh.
