Beware of Sleestak
J.R. posting the intro to H.R. Pufnstuff reminded me of my favorite piece of Sid & Marty Krofft prepubescent psychedelia — Land of the Lost. Which reminded me of this little ditty by the band Tastes Like Chicken. I think the band is defunct since I can't find them online anymore, so I hope they don't mind me posting their great parody tune Beware of Sleestak. BTW: I discovered this many years ago over at the frighteningly comprehensive Land of the Lost fan site Tyrannosaurus Lex.

I, too, loved "Land of the Lost". Between that show and "The Six Million Dollar Man" I was pretty much covered.
There's a Star Trek equivalent called 20 Years of Pointy Ears. At least I remember it being as good as Sleestak Are Scary, but I haven't heard it in almost 20 years and it was by a band whose name I don't remember on an obscure limited pressing album (vinyl!) I got at a Trek convention in Albany. I may have been stoned too. So you can see how my memory might be playing tricks on me.
I have a couple of other scifi themed tunes lying around here. If I get time tonight I'll up them and post here. Nothing that even compares to Sleestak Are Scary though.
