Don't you hate it when...
OK, I found this while searching for a totally different kind of japanese rock, but this is still cool... in a "Oh god! Oh god! The world is ending! We're all gonna die!" sort of way. It's all in Japanese but you really don't need the narration to understand what's going on. However, if you're really into it, there's a pretty good translation if you click through to YouTube.

Be afraid...be very afraid
If I ever see fit to actually put links on BS, this site will be there
The site is called
Tape Findings, and it rules the Earth! It features obscure recordings from cassette tapes. That these recordings were never meant to be found only increases their value. For anyone that spent an inordinate amount of time making cassette recordings (like I did growing up), this site is bliss. If you like the
Found website, you'll love Tape Findings.
Bush Bloody Bush
You might have heard the
George W. Bush remix of the U2 song, "Sunday Bloody Sunday". Here is the video.

You wanna talk low-speed chase?
I got yer low speed chase right here.
Nothing says "I'm really fucking drunk" like running out of gas during a police chase.
And then pushing your vehicle down the road.
Here is the link-sorry it's not embedded. Man, I love the embedding!
Retrovideos
Feeling a little retro tonight, so here's some favorites from the 1960s. Might be a couple that snuck in from 1971 or 1972 but as we all know the '60s really ran 1963 to 1974 (Kennedy shot to Nixon resigns). That's my theory anyway. So... Enjoy the noise.
We shall not be denied!
YouTube may have caved to t3h 3v1l (aka intellectual property lawyers) but Google appears to be the official distribution channel, so I'm restoring the creepy Hoff's Jump In My Car video to Greater Shitheadlandia. The Hoff will not be suppressed.
Okay, remember the Howard Stern movie
"Private Parts"? Of course you do.
Anyway, Ozzy and Type O collaborated on a cover of this song.
And, I have to say, the original is just as cool as their version.
I'm being completely insane, looking up a buttload of music, but this popped up when I was scrolling through the Type O stuff on youtube, so I had to share. Because it's just so damned cool.

Since YouTube caved
and no longer has "Jump in my car" on there, here's another tasty treat from MDB and the Hoff.
Somebody's a little too serious here. And methinks somebody shouldn't have had that face work done.
Because you can't get enough
The making of David Hasselhoff's Jump In My Car video. And for those who can't get enough Hoff, or those who dream of making a fortune selling teh Hoff's chest hair on eBay, you too can play Wax On, Wax Hoff.

And he just gets scarier...
This is why you never, NEVER get out of the car.
Okay, I can't say this better.
MILAN, Mich. -- A woman's arm was severed in a mysterious incident over the weekend, and authorities have been unable to find the missing limb.
Brenda Humphrey, 34, of Romulus was listed in serious condition Tuesday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Washtenaw County, hospital spokeswoman Lauren Stokes said.
Monroe County sheriff's Lt. Dale Malone told The Blade of Toledo, Ohio, that he and other deputies spent hours looking for the woman's arm after the incident was reported about 1 a.m. Sunday.
Stephen Humphrey, 39, told deputies that he and his wife had been at a bar in Milan. After leaving, Brenda Humphrey got out of their truck a few miles from the bar, and her husband drove away. When he returned, he found her in a ditch missing an arm, he told authorities.
"Both were intoxicated," Malone said. "We're still not sure what happened."
No charges have been filed.

Just an old fashined abomination
So, I was looking around for Carpenter's videos (to torment a friend with, trust me, not for any actual enjoyment), and found this.
So, of course, I had to share. What are friends for, after all?

Bicycle! Bicycle!
While the action only takes up three seconds of this fifteen second clip, I like this because of the expression on his face afterwards.
"Wow. That kinda hurt. And I'm such a dumbass."
Despotism
1946 propaganda film. I find this stuff fascinating and all too often what was considered despotic 50 years ago is considered business as usual in the U.S. in 2006. Kudos to Jeff at Throw Away Your TV.
The Godless Facts
Pardon the cross-blog pimping, but I just posted a video on my site that I thought my shitheads comrades would enjoy. A little more serious than our usual fare here but it's got some decent backing music.
Check it out.

Sunday in the Mix v11.0
Good mix this week. No unifying theme, just a lot of stuff.
Fun little song by
Meu to start off. Then we find what I think is the real gem of the
Mix, the song by
Howling Bells. This whole album is fantastic. I could have easily chosen 4 or 5 songs to play, but "Setting Sun" is the best, I think.
You will hear a lot about this
Herbert album. It's somewhat reminiscent of the Gnarles Barkley album, but a little mellower. I love the song by
Film School. Just straight ahead morose rock. Love it. That's capped off by a punky number from last year by
OK Go.
Then things take a turn...
I really like the song by
Jeff Walker Und Die Fluffers, but I might be in the minority. It's a strange mix of country and metal. Definitely an acquired taste. "Dinner with Ivan" by
Roommate is haunting, but in a good way.
Bardo Pond does our 'long song' slot proud with a 17 minute epic! A little shot of weirdness from
Think About Life follows. I love this kind of psychedelic throwback stuff. Speaking of throwback stuff, the oldies tune is a real beauty this week. "Fly" by
JK & Co is absolutely breathtaking. I couldn't help thinking of Rufus Wainwright when I heard this song. So beautiful.
Mix time: 51:33
J-Pop Sunday
Today's band is KuRt. Don't know too much about them, other than their outfits seem to have resulted from a collision of Cyndi Lauper and Boy George's wardrobes. But their music is fun and that's all that really counts. If you're really into them, there's an English fansite with translations and everything.
Set List: Hizumu Kuro, Oritatamishiki Ojiichan, Shaba Uta, Gozen 3ji Hoshi Furu Yoru, Sweet Lemon Broker.
