Nosferatu [1922]

The whole thing. Next time you have an hour and twenty to kill.

The image on the player is just an intro: It really is the creepy vampire movie Eric Stoltz was watching in his hotel room at the beginning of Killing Zoe, the part of Dracula played by Max Schreck, who was played to creepy excess by Willem Dafoe in Shadow of the Vampire, a fictionalized(?) depiction of the making of this movie.

Next time I'm in LA, i'm going to pitch this one: a movie called Shadow of Shadow of the Vampire a movie about the making of Shadow of the Vampire in which a character-acting Willem Dafoe takes up vampirism to prepare for the role of Max Schreck.

I think an actual vampire should be cast to play Dafoe.

Great film, thanks for the link. Have you seen Herzog's adaptation of Nosferatu? Kinski made a great vampire, though nobody could top Schreck.

I've seen this before. I took a film class in college (thinking I'd get credit for watching films -- silly me) and this was one of the films I sat through before I dropped the course. Really a remarkable film for its' time. Very atmospheric.
