This is why I love Kevin Smith

Okay, besides he's named Kevin, and I have an overabundance of that name in my life? (I have lots of Jason, too. Weird.)
He figured out the secret to YouTube.

See, that's the thing about Kevin Smith; I like him a lot better than I like his movies. Maybe he's trying too hard? Not hard enough? I don't know. I think he has a great movie in him, and I'd really like to see it.

I hope "Clerks 2" is a big hit.

I thought Chasing Amy was a pretty darn good movie as was Jersey Girl. Dogma was fun, but not great and the ending felt a little sloppy. Never did understand the fuss the Xians put up about it. Clerks was sheer genius, but not in a great film sort of way. Even Mallrats has grown on me over the years. But you're right, it's like Kevin Smith just keeps missing the mark "by thiisss much." Too bad he chickened out on Green Hornet.

I love Kevin Smith.
And you're so right...he seems like the guy you totally want to hang out with and go over to his house and play video games.
He tries so hard to make movies about what he likes, etc, and that's not what we're used to.
"What, you mean, this is like your world and shit? Um, yeah, okay, whatever..."
Though, I really like his stuff. I've got 4/5 of the Jay/Silent Bob movies (only missing Mallrats, damn it!), and haven't seen Jersey Girl, but that's just been coincidence so far.
