Speaking of Ill-Advised Movie Remakes...

OK, since everyone is jumping on the bad remake bandwagon I propose we all cash in. How about a remake of The Mod Squad with Urkel as Linc, Ralph Macchio as Pete and Britney Spears as Julie? Hmm... Actually now that I think about it, Ralph Macchio is too old for the role and might actually pass as a street-wise punk.

Surely someone is going to remake the "A-Team". Christopher Walken could play Hannibal, the latest 20-something hunk could play Face, Jim Carrey could play Murdoch, Ving Rhames could play B.A., and some hottie could play the thankless reporter role.

Tell me that cast wouldn't rock!

btw I'm playing the role of Grossman in the CHiPs remake.

JR, that is absolutly brilliant! It would be so fuckin simple to write, too. It'd write itself. Look, there it goes! I love it when a plan comes together.

Neuralgormet, I haven't seen the original Mod Squad but it was remade already in 1999 with Omar Epps, Giovanni Ribisi and Claire Danes starring in the roles you mentioned. Though I could get behind any project with Ralph Macchio in it.

Holy crap, I totally forgot about that damn Mod Squad remake.
I was even working in the video department when it came out, too.
I can still remember the box...I also remember not watching it even though I was in the same room as it was playing.

Dude, the A-Team is already "in negotiations" to be a remake.

Knight Rider. That's what I can't wait for.
I mean, in this era of manscaping and metrosexuals, who is going to have the appropriately hairy chest? And what about the perm? Dear god, WHAT ABOUT THE PERM?!

Though, I totally forgot to address that that has to be one of the stupidest statements I've ever freaking heard.

I think the fact that "Dallas" is being made into a BIG SCREEN MOVIE is another sign of the apocalypse we'd be doing well to note.
