this ballad reminds me of that game we'd play in improv classes called "the minister's cat" where you go from person to person, each time saying something about the minister's cat...

the ministers cat is a tawdry cat, the minister's cat is a ginsberg cat, etc.

anyway, ginsberg had it right-on. the skeleton phenomenom has intensified in recent years.

Hey! We used to play that game in college (though I wasn't a performing arts major and we didn't just limit it to sacerdotal felines). "The minister's cat was delicious." Funny how that always seemed to end the game.
