Oh, lord help us.

Paris Hilton's first video.
What do I say about this?
It's not as scary as The Hoff's. She isn't tone deaf. I agree with others I've read, it is a little "The Tide is High" for me, but the music didn't completely make my ears bleed, and thank god we didn't have to see any full breast shots.
All in all, a completely bland piece of music, IMO. Not horrible, but not great.
Though, considering what I expected, this is practically Beethoven's 5th.

I see they went with the black and white segments to make it all artistic and stuff. But like, yeah, surprisingly it's not all that bad. If I didn't know it was Paris Hilton and I heard it on the radio... well, I'd think ClearChannel had fucked with the format of my favorite station again because I don't listen to this shit. Am I wrong to be judgemental? :-)

I'm not really sure what I expected, but yeah, it's radio friendly, and will probably do really well not only with teenagers who think she's the hottest thing since...okay, the Backstreet Boys, ew...but also on adult contemporary stations, because it just has that easy listening sort of feel.
I find that most people generally sound okay when they sing, so I suppose it's not too surprising that she doesn't sound horrid, it's just that we always hear her talking stupidly, as opposed to spending hours and hours with vocal coaches, retakes, and actually WORKING on sounding good.
