How. Did. I. Miss. THIS!
Yes, okay, so I really like the song. You get to howl and say stupid things like "I want your lo-o-oo-o-o-oooooove." What's not to like?
So, I listened to it, and the synthesizers weren't too bad, but she really fucked up the vocals. That's half the joy, the richness of lead singer Pete Burns' voice.
Now, most of us know what Pete Burns looks like today. Not the jaunty velvet pirate with mall bangs we remember from the original video for the song, but the current sufferer of Jocelyn Wildenstein syndrome.
At any rate, I decided that I wanted to hear this song, it had been awhile, and it would help cleanse my brain of the crap Ms. Simpson was trying to pull of as "dance music". Ugh.
Of course I went to YouTube, even though they blow with more and more frequency, and guess what I happened upon?

Apparently Dead or Alive did a remix for their greatest hits collection in 2003, and did a new video to go along with the remix.
It's so bizarre, because the voice is the same, yet right in the beginning? You're looking at a porn star. The feathered blonde hair, the turquoise eyeshadow...holy crap.
I had to share. Because...yeah.
At any rate, here is the original version, if you feel the need to walk down memory lane and see what Pete USED to look like. (personally, I think he was kinda hot. Okay, so he had bigger hair than I have ever in my life had, and um, an eye patch? Whatever. It was the '80s.)
